Art that speaks out

Art that speaks out:
As an Artists I have always had an interest in creating work that speaks to and involves the viewer.  My own practice has involved several series of work that have been directed at dealing with social issues and so through that process I have come across several artists that make art the deals with social issues directly or indirectly or that takes on the form of what some call activist art.
The following is a series of links (that I will keep adding to) to artists and articles that present, explore and confront this kind of art.  Please feel free to ad your own links to more artists and articles
